We want to ensure that our customers can buy their stock from the Rooser marketplace with confidence, each and every day.
That’s why we have our own quality control team based at our hub in Boulogne-sur-Mer.
This team assesses incoming products as they pass through BSM to ensure they match the level of quality the customer has purchased and expects to receive.
Here’s how it works:
Each day our team takes a random sample of arrival shipments for the day to inspect.
Within each sample, they are given a minimum number of boxes to check based on the total volume of that order.
Each box within this sample is checked across the following criteria:
- Packaging
- Labelling
- Presentation
- Freshness
- Size
- Temperature
Freshness is evaluated across several aspects using sight, smell, and touch to ensure it is consistent with the quality grade the product has been sold as.
Providing the boxes we’ve checked meet the required standard, the order will continue on its journey to the customer.
If we find an inconsistency in the quality, we will contact you so you can tell us how you wish to proceed.
What happens if I receive an order that does not match the quality I expect?
Unfortunately, due to the volume of orders we process each day, we’re unable to inspect all shipments passing through our logistics hub.
For the occasions when you receive stock that does not meet the quality standards you expect, we have a claims process in place to ensure you’re able to get a fast resolution.
You can find out more about our claims process and how to raise a claim here.
